Lisa Rimmert is a passionate and enthusiastic marketing professional with experience in public relations, branding, content development, audience engagement, volunteer coordination, internal and external communications, fundraising, and all things animal.
She enjoys learning and thinking about communication, media, philosophy, persuasion, effective advocacy, social science, and animal issues. She also has a passion for writing, public speaking, performing improv, and volunteering for worthy causes. She lives in the St. Louis area with her thoughtful and intelligent husband of six years and a wonderfully hairy rescue dog. Life is good.
EXPERIENCE
Lisa is currently the director of marketing for a company that provides physician recruiting tools to hospitals and group practices nationwide. Before that, she worked for a variety of non-profit organizations including United Way. Her experience has been heavily focused on public and community relations, events planning, marketing, and development (or, in layman’s terms, “fundraising”).
EDUCATION
Lisa is currently a student of Webster University‘s Master of Arts in Public Relations program and will graduate in Fall 2013. She earned her undergraduate degree, a bachelor’s in mass communications, in 2005 from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
A lifelong learner, Lisa has attended many workshops and professional development conferences, including the PRSA International Conference (October 2011), PRSA St. Louis‘ Technology Day (October 2010), the American Management Association‘s “Getting Results Without Authority” workshop (July 2010), and the EXHIBITOR conference (March 2010). Lisa is also a member of PRSA and takes advantage of many learning opportunities hosted by PRSA St. Louis and the St. Louis chapter of the American Marketing Association.
